Tourism in Armenia

Armenia is famous to the world with its cultural-historical heritage, geographical diversity and of course with warm hospitality. Armenia is in the process of developing in international tourism market, as it can be introduced to the world not only with historical buildings but also with great and wonderful nature.
The pearl of Armenia is of course the Lake Sevan, with crystal water and surrounded by beautiful nature. Some lakes are also known with its beauty and purity, they are for example the Black Lake at Syuniq, the Parz (Clear) Lake at Dilijan and the Qari (Stone) Lake at the top of the mount Aragats.
One of the original, unique and green cities at Armenia is Dilijan, which is always admired by the tourists. Arzni and Jermuk are also famous, especially with their natural mineral water. The Tsopq waterfall is one of the famous waterfalls in the area of Jermuk. It is known with its natural mineral and healing water. The tourists always admire the highest and the most beautiful waterfall of Armenia – the Shaqe waterfall.
Situated in the flake of Teghenis Mountain, Tsaghkadzor ski resort is one of the most famous places in Armenia. This place is always full of tourists, especially in winter, when it’s time for ski sports. This is the best place for lovers of winter sports.
Khosrov national Park is also one of the famous places in Armenia. It is a national park with unique and breathtaking nature. Even some ancient Armenian churches can be at Khosrov National Park.
The Sochut botanical national park- forest is a treasure for our country. It is located in Stepanavan city, Lori. This is a place where you can surely enjoy the nature and imagine yourself in paradise.
It’s not in vain that Armenia is usually called a “museum under the open air”, because one can endlessly tell about its places of interest, national parks, forests and everything.
